This week, I have a question that I’m sure you’ve struggled with yourself at one point in life.
Should I paint my wood trim?
My trim is not bad trim. I have this beautiful, dark, BIG trim through the original part of my house. The baseboards are 8 inches tall while the windows are trimmed with about 5-6 inches. The dark stain is quite beautiful, but I’m not sure if I’m a wood-trim kinda gal.
Along with the big dark trim, our wood doors are dark as well. The dining room is more open, but smaller rooms, like our bedrooms, or rooms with lots of doors, like our hallway below, look teeny tiny.
I did paint the trim on the window in my kitchen since it was surrounded with white cabinets,
as well as the temporary “trim” that frames in our windows, both of which I love.
Inspired by Sandra’s post on painting the trim in her home, I wanted to see what you think!
Do you like your white trim?
Did you paint your wood trim?
What color did you use?
Is it much harder to clean?
Do YOU think I should go ahead and paint my trim?
Would you buy this house and say “why in the world did they paint this trim?!”
Thanks in advance for your input!
Okay, it’s your turn!
