I’ve wanted to jump on the chalkboard wall trend bandwagon. Really, I did. But the thought of chalk dust and kids drawing on my other walls scared me almost as much as nails on a chalkboard.
So I found a way to get around that. Paint a wall in the garage!
We have one drywalled wall in the garage so I washed it down and did what any not normal person would do: start painting it at 5pm.
Of course I ran out of chalkboard paint (of course), but I really like it. We only have a gravel driveway so this will give the kids a fun spot to draw. I like that I can use it for a photo backdrop or use it to help sell items I’m clearing out.
Looks a lot better than a garage full of crap behind it! ;)
If you don’t have a wall in the garage to do this, I’m told by friends on our Facebook page that chalk markers are a good solution to the dust issue.
So what do you think?
Are you a fan of the chalkboard wall?
