Our tomato cages were gross and junky looking, but I’m not about to pay $7 for the nice, painted ones! My friend Erin told me about how she spray painted tomato cages and got that fancy look for a fraction of the price. I tried it on our free, rusty ones (six from my dad, two from freecycle). One of my favorite things to spray paint are lamps. It’s amazing what a coat of paint can do to an otherwise boring, normal lamp! Do you have a hard time getting rid of books or throwing them away once damaged? While I’d like to consider myself detached (40 BAGS IN 40 DAYS has helped a lot with that!), books hold a sentimental place in my heart. I’m getting more daring with color, project by project. I’ve always said I like neutrals with a pop of color, but the pop you get from orange spray paint is a new adventure for me! I’ve seen metallic looking wreaths popping up here and there in my radar lately, Target, Michael’s, the PB catalog, I love the look.
