I’ve said it before, but whenever I feel like my life involves a lot of “doing”, it involves less talking and thinking about doing. Recently I found out I was accepted to Creating with the Stars over at East Coast Creative and... WHOA.
Me? How the..? Huh?! Are you sure that says my name?! Uhhh... YAY!!!
I was blown away by the entries, blown away with the other bloggers, and kinda sorta freaking out (in a good way). What a whirlwind the last week of creating has been!
This week’s theme was “upcycled”, which is right up my garage salin’, paint lovin’ alley.
I can’t show what I made just yet, but all I can show you is my painting clothes. And a big thumbs up because I am head over heels in love with this project. And I can’t wait to show you what we made (wait, did I say that already?).
I was paired with the lovely Shaunna of Perfectly Imperfect and I couldn’t have had a better match. I have spent way too much time browsing her blog (and Pinterest boards) and swooning over her beautiful rustic vintage style. A blog about a “perfectly imperfect” life: a beautiful home but messy little details of life? Yep, perfection. And she hates laundry. 🙂
Round one kicked off today and the theme is upcycled!
I’d love it if you hopped over and voted for your favorite, there are some amazing projects over there! I know I have been inspired to look at old stuff in a new way...
The voting is secret and I can’t tell you which is mine! If you do figure it out, please don’t spill it in the comments. I don’t want to get in trouble. 😉
Thanks, guys!

Very unique, beautiful and well thought out. You certainly put that old wood to good use. I have been following your blogs and I can hardly wait for your next creation!
Kristen M.
I knew exactly which one was yours! It was the only one I voted for. I love your home DIYs.
Ann Marie

Congrats on being chosen - but that's a given...cause you're freaking awesome. DUH!! 🙂
Ann Marie

I was trying to figure out which one was yours, but honestly have no idea. There were so many fabulous projects. I voted for three! Let's hope one of them was yours. Love all the inspiration!
Ann Marie
there were SO many good ones! I didn't want anyone to get booted. And I don't envy you guys and trying to decide which one to vote for, cause I probably wouldn't have been able to pick just three!! Maybe like 8? haha
ours was the Floor Board Kitchen Island 🙂
