I don't know about you, but I'm addicted to emojis. My kids think they're hilarious too and find ways to figure out my passcode and send random emoji texts to my friends...

Summer is just about here and with it, summer parties and gatherings. For the June Michaels Makers challenge our theme was to create ideas for a summer party. I made these emoji balloon photo props and my kids we had a blast with them.

If you're like us, your parties are full of kids and teens (graduation parties, birthday parties, family gatherings, the list goes on!). These would be a hit and be a good excuse to snap lots of pictures.

Project Supplies:

• Emoji Balloons: smile, poop, cry laughing, silly guy. They also had a heart eyes and mustache!
• Small Helium Tank
• Balloon Bouquet Kit, set the balloons aside

I found the supplies near all the party stuff at the front of the store. I blew up the mylar emoji balloons with the helium tank. Instead of using a string (which came with the helium tank), I used these sticks from a balloon kit. When your balloons are done, stick them into a bucket of sand or flower pot with dirt in it to keep them from floating away.

Then grab your phone and start snapping pics!

Which balloon do you think everyone was fighting over? I'll give you one guess...

Yep, the poop emoji. These are definitely my kids. (insert covering my eyes emoji here)
