Imperfection in a Sea of Beauty

    January 12, 2017 |

Everything looks better in black & white. Including laundry and unmade beds.

I always pause a bit before posting pictures like this. A big ole gulp before I step out naked into this sea of beauty. I am, after all, a blogger who talks mostly about simple living, decluttering, and ahem, organizing. Beautiful things.

Maybe this unmade bed and laundry-in-waiting is beautiful in its own way.

Maybe you're craving a glimpse of imperfection. Maybe you need to know you're not alone. That maybe someone else had a rushed morning trying to get everyone off to school, wished they had more patience, and didn't have to use their batman voice as often. ("COME ON LETS GO!!!!!")

So let me be your messy bun in a sea of blowouts. Wait. I can't be a messy bun if I can't do a pretty messy bun to save my life. Whatever. You get the picture. 🙂

We all have our perfect moments. But I think these other moments are perfect, in their own imperfect way.

Lol-- mom brain over here could only think of diaper blowouts, which dramatically changes the meaning of that sentence!

Wow! Everything you said is so true!
Also I should only take black and white pictures! Lol!
