In July 2017 we moved to our current house. It is a 1910 farmhouse with just under 1600 square feet, 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. Although it is half the size of our last home, the location is perfect. It is located a short walk from a historic downtown area, parks, the library, stores, restaurants, and the train station.
The house was listed as a tear down property, we are in the process of renovating and updating the house as we live there. Here are the before pictures, as well as an after if we have them. (Updated February 2018)
Living Room/Family Room:
The plan is to take out the wall to the left. The room is adjacent to a small 1st floor bedroom. We feel the square footage would be best used to enlarge this room rather than used as a 5th bedroom.
Dining Room:
We are still in the process of making plans, however this may be our future kitchen.
Kitchen:
We plan to remove the pantry (door opening on the left) and make it a part of the 1st floor bathroom (door on the right), with an entrance off the family room/current 5th bedroom. This may be converted into a dining room, while the dining room on the left may become our kitchen.
Master Bedroom:
Office/4th Bedroom:
Girls' Bedroom:
Boys' Bedroom:
Back Porch:
We plan to convert this room into a laundry room/mudroom.
Backyard:
The house is on just under an ¼ of an acre. It is currently overgrown, we hope to clean it up to make it a useable yard.
