Last Saturday started out productive. I was in the garden for a good 2-3 hours, Doug cut the grass, the kids got their naps in and then later played in the yard. And then we realized after we were exhausted by 1 pm, that it’s Saturday. What are we doing?! Let’s go have fun!
It was a blast. We let loose and actually enjoyed our Saturday instead of working hard. No running around, planning, or preparing. We hopped in the car, drove 5 minutes, and bam. The perfect slice of summer.
And with a quick pestering text to my mom, my dad, my 13 year old brother, and my 11 year old sister,

we went back and did it all again on Sunday. Ahhh, summer. I love you. I’m gonna miss ya.

What a fun day... or two days! 🙂 My husband is a teacher so he was off all summer until a couple weeks ago and I am still mourning the end of summer. Can't we just repeat the last three months again? 🙂
