40 BAGS IN 40 DAYS – Week 3 Link Party

    March 9, 2012 |

    wk3

Hope your week has been going great! Are you ready to share your progress?

We’ve had a long week. Ben was sick last weekend (thought he was teething), and then developed a cough, and then Lily had it. And then my little 9 week old Adam. 🙁

I hate going to the doctor, especially with sick kids, but something about Adam’s cough and breathing weren’t sitting right with me. He started making a rattling sound when breathing in and out and I knew I had to get him in. A few hours later, all three kids tested positive for RSV. If you’re unsure about what RSV is (I had no clue!), my friend Courtney has a post explaining it, but it’s basically a bad form of the common cold that can be particularly dangerous in infants and the elderly. Many babies end up having to be hospitalized. Thankfully, Adam’s lungs sounded great, so she didn’t hospitalize him.

We’re going in for a check-up today to make sure he’s improving, but until then we’ve got breathing treatments every four hours for Lily and Ben, twice a day for Adam, and lots of babies that want to be held. They’re feeling a lot better than they were on Wednesday, so that’s good!

I hope you’ll understand when I say that the only “bagging” I did this week was over the weekend. I need to get these kids better... if you don’t understand then you should click the little “x” on this tab right now 😉

Over the weekend I tackled the paperwork that needed to be shredded (2 bags worth!). I didn’t get to the desk. I did get to my sneaky craft cabinet in the built-in closet in my hallway. I finished the top, linen closet part of it last year, but never worked on the bottom. Ruh roh,

    storage

I got a bag full of garbage and a half bag full of stuff to go to Goodwill. It was crazy. When you’re crafting on a nap schedule, sometimes you have a tendency to, oh I don’t know, hurry up and shove before little hands get into everything? But that’s no excuse for the bag of Easter grass I found exploded all over a drawer.... or the tools I didn’t put away... or the garbage fabric scraps I was holding onto... etc.

I cleaned it out, and started new.

    mess

I’ll be sharing the contents of my craft cabinet next week over at Kendra’s Organization for the Insane series. I love that name. Here’s my bag, I tied a pretty bow on it for you. 🙂

    This weeks total?

    3 ½ bags.

Sometimes life gets in the way! We just have to make the best of it.

I did manage to enjoy some Thin Mints, take my vitamins every day, get dressed in something other than PJs every day, and finish the rest of Season 2 of Downton Abbey. I’ll give myself credit for that. 😉

I almost tackled the crafts but then....I chickened out! It was a little hard to stay even a tiny bit organized this week, I confess. But we pulled through somehow!

p.s. I put the googly eyed picture up again, just for you 😉

I'm so sorry your baby boy is sick! I hope everything goes just fine and he gets better real soon. No lung troubles whatsoever.

You're motivating me! Keep motivating me (as I should get off my A and start cleaning now instead of reading, cough)
