This week, I tackled the places that I normally put off working on.
The papers in the desk… the mess that is was our foyer…
And today I am working on the attic. *shudders*
I had boxes up in the attic that were in my closet in the apartment, and went STRAIGHT up to the attic when we moved in.
BAM! look at all of those empty boxes!
Most of the stuff was garbage, about 10-20% of it I’m saving, and the rest is going to the garage sale.
This isn’t a very good after shot, but this area was STACKED full of boxes. This is now my pile of empty boxes and the things I’m keeping.
Although I thought I would need 40 days to tackle the attic, one day of having Doug home, and it’s almost DONE. And I feel SO much better.
advice this week:
I know you have that one room, spot, closet, drawer, WHATEVER that you don’t want to even THINK about! (I have several.)
Just tackle it, you’ll be so happy once the weight is lifted off your shoulders.
next week:
I’ll be tackling the basement. *shudder* ummmm, do I have to?
link up:
This week, instead of the link-up, I’d love it if you could leave a link to your 40 days or cleaning posts in the comments.
Tell me how you’re doing, what rooms you’ve tackled, and how you feel overall about the changes going on in your home.
I check my email (and therefore your comments) more often than I do the link list, and I think this will keep things more personal. Thanks! 🙂
