Yesterday we headed out to Goebbert’s Farm in nearby Hampshire, IL. It was last minute, Doug took out the garbage and realized how nice it was and suggested a trip out there.
There was plenty for the kids to do, from hay mazes and pig races, to the ride out to the pumpkin patch and petting a giraffe. My kids were most excited (and when I say excited, I mean really, really excited) about the large painted characters like Little Einsteins, Curious George, or Beauty and the Beast.
If you’re looking for something to do in the western suburbs, my friend Tara at Go West Young Mom has compiled fall fun guides for just about every type of fall or Halloween event that’s happening in the area. You won’t believe all of the stuff here on her calendar! Get out, go check out something fun. 🙂

Creepy random blog commenter here. Actually my name is Jess and my husband Matt went to high school with Bonnie (who I've never met), he told me about her blog, which led me to your blog, and here I am commenting on it now. Anyways Matt grew up going to Goebbert's and so when we went to the pumpkin patch here in North Dakota he just kept telling me how it couldn't live up to Goebbert's. Anyways, love your blog, now you also know the backstory behind the random girl reading and commenting on your blog!
