So here’s where we left off.
Day One:
The laminate tile was taken out, staples removed, and all the junk was scraped out.
Furniture was cleared out, the floor was started.
These registers had to be refigured and cut, because they were originally right up against the wall. These will later be stained and poly-ed to match the floor.
Day Two:
Got farther, but also reconfigured another vent, and worked along the stairs:
Day Three (yesterday):
Two more registers reconfigured:
Doug and his Papa, who came to lend a hand
aaaand here’s where we are today. Finishing the family room
and starting the kitchen!
What do ya think?
Personally, I am in love and sooo excited!

Oh Ann Marie! It looks so good. I swear all that pretty flooring is going to be life changing (or at least dramatic mood changing). When we did ours I finally felt like my house was clean. My dirty/stained carpeting and hodge podged floors, no matter how much I cleaned, kept my house from feeling so fresh and so clean, clean (and yes, it is perfectly acceptable to bust in some OutKast about now).

Ahhh! I've been waiting (rather impatiently) for this post! My family has started referring to your blog as my soap opera because I get so excited when you post progress on your projects. It looks really, really good!
