    More Clicking of the Camera

    December 22, 2010 |

Thank you for all of your sweet comments on the last post. As soon as I hit publish, and saw the new post pop up with all of the “outtakes,” I started cracking up. Your comments really nailed the point that I was trying to make, but ended up complaining about. haha!

I read blogs from experienced moms and think “oh I’m not one of those NEW moms who focuses on perfection.” But what do you know, I AM!

“Oh, wah wah, Ben didn’t sit just so with his fancy bow tie that I hand crafted while Lily didn’t keep her hair all in one place. How dare she try to play, I’m taking pictures! Oh kids, don’t you know mommy is fretting that she is a big fat procrastinator…”

Geez, Ann Marie, loosen up a bit!

We ditched the fancy clothes, took pics (AFTER THEIR NAPS!), and they worked out! But as cute as they are, I love the pictures in between even better…

The in-betweens involved lots of giggles and sillyness,

imageyelling, image  petting of the brother, imagea lot of “screw this noise, I’m outta here”image all around cuteness, image hair pulling and accidental flash setting, image hair clip removal, imagelots of blurriness, imagea little bit of “Ben is not a jump-oline”image brother squashingimageSophie clutchingimage cheesing (ahhh! LOVE HER!!)image

    and

    (DRUM ROLL PLEASE…)

getting two good shots for our card!

    Awwww!

I REALLY wish I could just mail a flip book of all of these pics… 😉

Shutterfly told me they’d give me some goodies if I gave all of ya’ll a preview and embedded their fancy pants link:

Full Of Love Christmas 5x7 folded card
Design your Christmas cards with Shutterfly.
View the entire collection of cards.

And if you enter the code “SHIPCARDS” they will stuff, address, stamp with postage, and mail your cards for FREEEEEEEEEEE! With my blogger code and that code, I saved $198.01 and only paid $1.49 for one card going to Canada.

So bummed I ordered my extras from Walmart… although they’re about .67 a piece, Walmart’s are .88 cents with postage. DARN IT!!!

Have a link to your Christmas card? A story? Awesome picture out-takes? Share it with us in the comments!

OH! and don’t forget to check the sidebar for the winner of the Baby G’s giveaway!

thanks for reading our feed, please stop by the house for a visit sometime soon. 🙂

Aw those are so cute! I decided years and years ago that I refuse to take my kids to a "sitting" ever again. I find it so stressful. And I also realized that the pictures I treasure from my childhood are NEVER the sitting/I'm posed in my Sunday best; it's those candid snaps. Thats all we really got around these parts. And I'm totally good with that.

LOVE the pictures! I wish I would have known about the Shipcards code... that's great. Would have saved me from having to lick and stick! Here is a link to our card this year. http://stefanieshappenings.blogspot.com/2010/12/christmas-card.html Love Shutterfly... we put a picture of our girls being very nice and pretty on the front, but on the top of the inside was a picture of the "REAL" kids.

Omg that is so cute, I want a mat filled with all of them! So darn sweet, petting her brother, I am actually sad because I have not seen them in a few weeks! When did Ben start sitting up????
