    Cheap Furniture Felt Pads

    November 12, 2011 |

    Remember this dot candy dresser?

lol I like the emphasis that the words from that post adds to this post…

    YES, THIS DRESSER!!!  hahaha 🙂

To avoid any more huge gaping scrapes across my floor (thanks previous owners, but I do forgive you.) we needed some fuzzy furniture disk thingies.

You can buy these for $13.99 on Amazon,

or a sheet of this sticky-backed felt at Joann’s for around a buck

    and make them yourself!

Granted, you could get fancy and cut circle shapes and clean off the dust a little bit better, buuuut it’s good to know it’s not mandatory, right? 😉

Don’t have the stickable stuff and want to do this, like now? Grab a piece of felt you have on hand, cut out your shape, and hot glue it to the bottom of the furniture piece. I have a big ol fashioned drawer that I bought from a garage sale and it uses this same advanced sliding technology. 🙂

Thanks so much for the tip! It ocurred to me to make my own, but hadn't thought much where to start. We definitely need more since even the ones pre-made don't last that long! P.S. I moved my blog! 🙂

Great tip! I use the little round ones on the bottom of each leg for my kitchen chairs. They're cheap, so I don't mind when I have to replace them. It makes the noise from the chairs being dragged across the floor much more tolerable. We shared your blog on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ratty-daddy-dinkdum/116632878402175#!/pages/Ratty-daddy-dinkdum/116632878402175) and Twitter (http://twitter.com/#!/rattydaddyscarf).Have a great night!Beth and Denise

Ooooh I love these things! It makes moving a gigantic piece of furniture so easy! It just slides so smoothly! ~ Barbara
