Want to tick off a 2.5 year old girl? Make a normally sweet and adorable kid into an absolute monster for a good 20 minutes?
(I hope not, that’d kinda make you a sick individual.)
Put her in an adorable blue, plaid dress bought lovingly from Grandma from Janie and Jack.
She INSISTED that because this dress is a.) plaid, and b.) blue, that it was “Benny’s dress.”
I don’t know where she got that idea, Ben doesn’t wear dresses that often…
Once we got into the car and on our way to church, she was back to her normal self. Let me put pigtail braids in her hair, was really well behaved while there, and had fun playing with the kids during coffee and donuts time afterwards. Once we got home, she wanted to get out of that thing! These pictures are from her pouting and trying to squiggle her way out of a picture.
But you can only protest so much, eventually I got two pictures (and a great story) to send to Grandma. 🙂
(currently saved onto my computer as “lilymadatdress.png”)
Thank you Grandma!!!!We I love the dress and we’re I’m so glad she finally fits in it!
(…does this post make me sound like the worst mom ever or what?)

Aw, cute dress!

That dress is adorable and so is she. I love dressing my little girl up. Hard to believe she will calling the shots soon.
A Mother and A Daughter
Isn't it funny how early in life little ones decide on what they like and don't like to wear. Several years ago I bought my very young niece a cute outfit along with two stuffed animals, one was a dog and the other a cat. She associated the outfit to the stuffed animals and when my sister tried to put it on her she would protest, "I don't like the puppy kitty outfit." So funny! ~ Barbara
