    Diaper Drawer

    January 18, 2011 |

I have a love/hate relationship with drawers. One one hand, they keep things out of sight and clean looking. LOVE!

On another, they can hide a huge unnecessary mess within their four sides. They also encourage shoving. HATE! (but still kinda love at the same time...)

The diapers were stored in an area where Lily could easily "help" and retrieve them.

She likes to help a lot and while that's great, often that "helping" becomes 50  diapers strewn across the living room. I wanted to turn the diaper cabinet into a puzzle cabinet, so I needed to find a space that was within my reach, yet concealed like with the old spot.

I knew that I needed to tackle the drawers of my entertainment center, but had been putting it off for a while.

I emptied one of the drawers, yikes! How did all of that crap fit in there?

I cleaned the drawer, took a scrap piece of linen cut to size,

and made things look all pretty.

Getting rid of all that crap gave me room for a container of homemade baby wipes, a box for baby essentials, and almost one package of diapers. The leftovers that don't fit are the perfect amount to replenish the stash in the diaper bag.

Love my new diaper drawer, out of sight, out of mind, and out of the reach of little toddler arms.

Only one more drawer to go... 😉

thanks for reading our feed, please stop by the house for a visit sometime soon. 🙂

Thanks, Heather! :)I'm thinking of using it for either thank you notes, stamps, and all that or as a mini tool stash. Either way, it is going to be MUCH more organized than it was before, haha!
