I’ve been hemming and hawing, and hawing some more (mostly because it sounds like fun).
I feel like every time I go into Lowe’s, I go down the exterior light aisle and browse. And imagine.
These pictures are from my phone from last year. Yes, Lowe’s guy… I wasn’t kidding or being cute when I told you I’ve been working on this decision for over a year!
So enough with the hawing. I made an executive decision and bought this light
for this spot (My sincere apologies on the lack of curb appeal!)
and on either side of the on garage door, eventually.
But I’m torn.
Should there be a galvanized barn light here, or a formerly-galvanized-but-now-spray-painted-black barn light?
Help! And thank you! 🙂
Mary
I LOVE all of those lights! We must be kindred spirits! You're sense of humor just cracks me up! 🙂 Great blog! Mary

I am partial to black, it makes things 'pop'. However, I know whatever you choose will look good because you have a good sense of style.

Love it. Maybe because we have two of the exact same fixtures (the top photo and the one in the box you got) in my craft room, one on each side of the french doors. They are beautiful. 🙂 Can't wait to see pix of the finished project!

Love your choice of light!Go with black. It will tie back to your shutters. (The galvanized finish will tie back to what? Not really a flashy accent able to stand on its own, in my opinion.)Or, you could go crazy and paint it a bright accent color. Then add some flowers/planters/other accents in the same color.

Dang girl, I spent some of my weekend doing the SAME thing. I love what you've got in mind.

What ever one you pick, I think it should be black, white is cool, but to hard to keep clean....just my thought, but I like the style of yours just not the silver color.....
