My lackluster (yet simple!) grapevine wreath just isn’t cutting it. It’s now taking an extended spring break the basement.
This spring I’m clearing out and bagging up, so it made sense to make a pledge to create with what I already have.
Here’s the new gal in town.
If I were a wreath, I would totally be this t-shirt wreath.
Throw on a comfy tee, add some sticks, accessorize with just a pop of color, enjoy some time outside, and this wreath is happy just to be.
I cut a t-shirt into one long continuous strip. Stretched the strip, rolled it into a ball of t-shirt yarn, and then wrapped it around a simple wreath I had on hand.
One whole t-shirt’s worth of yarn was the perfect amount.
It was missing something, so I added some silk flowers from my stash and some sticks from the yard. I used the sleeves of the shirt to make more yarn and attach the flowers and sticks like so.
It’s imperfect, and like all of my projects, took longer than I expected. But it’s so simple and so me.
Have you done any projects with t-shirts lately? Tell me about it and leave your link in the comments!
