Edited to change the date… umm yeah it’s not 2010 any more so this is my to-do list for 2011! Haha, thanks Jen! 🙂
first things first:
I got a job! Did I tell you I got a job? Probably not because I’ve been focusing on being at my job and not on blogging.
It’s a big sacrifice as far as time and scheduling, but things are tight and it had to be done. I’m so blessed to have found something so quickly (first job I applied to, called me the next day, hired a few days later) and it is a job where I can put my degree to work.
So I got a job at a place. Pretty generic, but I don’t want my students’ parents to think that what I write here passes as good English!
I will be tutoring students prepping for the ACT, as well as general tutoring in Reading, English, and Math. I was trained for the last two weeks and start with real-life students today. Please pray for me. I’m SO nervous!
I had to take the ACT in order to get the job and scored a 32, so you know what that means… I’m SMARTER after college than I was before it! Phew.

I hate having resolutions, but I’m a fan of to-do lists. Here’s mine for the upcoming year.
1.) finish the bathroom
2.) get the house organized and KEEP IT THAT WAY (I know, like everyone else…)
3.) be healthy (again, I follow the bandwagon…)
- take my vitamins, exercise, no fast food or crap, and eat how I should
4.) get my life organized
5.) manage my time better, not as much time on FB, don’t be late
6.) get the kids’ room cute
7.) paint some trim and make a decision either way
8.) blog often
9.) tackle some projects – yeah!
Let’s see how I do…
So happy 2011 everyone, thanks to everyone for reading this past year! 🙂

great list. Specific, doable but with some wiggle room. :)I like to make myself one of these lists every January too. Some years I am more successful in whittling away the list than others but it somehow helps to see it in written form. Maybe it makes us more accountable.Good luck,Pam

Happy 2011 to you and your family - good luck with the new job, you will be great!

Yeah, I love working bloggers (I sometimes feel like I'm the only blogger who holds a job . . . it does make it more challenging, but very rewarding!). Congratulations! I am a former English teacher, so I can identify with the amount of prep that goes into teaching. You will do great! Can't wait to see some of your finished projects. Happy 2011.
Parents of a Dozen
That is a great list. I will pray the job goes well.

I'm not big on resolutions either. Instead I am making a few lifestyle changes. Congrats on the job and best of luck on your to-do list!

Congrats on the job!! Love your list too and I hope that you get to cross everything off and then some!! 🙂
Amanda @ Serenity Now
Good list! (By the way, just notice your family photo on the sidebar--y'all are too cute) :)Congrats on the job...that's great! I have been too scared to make up a list of goals/resolutions/whatever you want to call it. Mostly b/c I stink at working on them, and I hate failure. I guess I need to start thinking about this year...
