How to Grill a Pizza

May 29, 2013 |

Some nights you want to make dinner, and some nights you just don't.

On those types of nights we'll usually throw in a frozen pizza or two, but during the summer things get tricky. It's hot. And I don't want my house being pre-heated to 400 degrees. You could just scrap the idea and make a salad or something, but if you really have a taste for frozen pizza, you're stuck.

Stop being stuck, just grill that pizza and keep the heat outside where it belongs. Here's how to grill a pizza, you won't believe how easy it is!

Start up your grill, get it to medium heat, and add your pizza stone so it can pre-heat. No pizza stone? No worries. You'll just need to keep a closer eye on things.

Open your pizza. Recycle the wrappers.

Add the pizza, and cook until it looks done. Keep a close eye on the bottom so it doesn't burn.

Take your pizza off, and eat it. And be super happy that you didn't heat up the house or really do anything. 😉

Have you ever grilled a pizza?

I feel like now that I'm 32 weeks pregnant, I either want to go all out and make an amazing meal or throw in the towel and make something QUICK. This method has been a lifesaver for us!

This post not sponsored by any sort of pizza or grill company. I just really like pizza and grilling. 😉

Great idea. I didn't know you could just throw your pizza stone on the grill. The possibilities are endless!

Oh this looks awesome! I love grilling pizza during the summer months! We typically just do flatbreads using flatout wraps!

I like to take an add a brick to each side under my stone before I put it on the grill. That way the stone is a bit farther from the fire. Takes about 5-6 extra minutes to warm, but no burnt pizzas! 🙂

GENIUS!! We have quite a few patio bricks leftover, I'll try that next time we are making one and add it to the post. Thank you! 😀

Oh my gosh, that looks delicious. I've been craving pizza like crazy lately, and now I just want to lick the screen. (no preggo)

Thank you! I almost didn't post it because it is just pizza, but when taking the pictures I was hungry all over again and figured that was a sign. I don't blame you for the non-preggo cravings, pizza is ALWAYS good!!
